I like this game but find it crashes frequently and when you think youre in cover youll still get shot sometimes.

Arma Tactics plays like a game of chess. The pieces are simple & serve specific purposes. Its more about strategy than having a billion weapons, with a trillion modifications, with a gazillion personalization options. All-in-all, its a massively fun game with basic controls that is not convoluted, overly complex, with unnecessary add-ons (so far). Pros: Focus on tactics, survivability, & completing mission objectives. Basic RPG elements with "XP" that allows for skill upgrades. Being a turn-based game gives players a self-paced gaming experience. Cons: Bug - That makes moving inside buildings clunky, slow, cumbersome. It makes the game unbearable at times. Bug - That causes medpacks to disappear after missions. Bug - That can cause accidental movement. With limited resources, it seems like theyre setting the game up to add IAP. Suggestion(s): Add a "recall" button so that players can reverse unintentional movement. Fix CQC movement in buildings by removing roofs, not just making them opaque. Fix ghosting of purchased consumables. Develop for XBL marketplace. Do NOT add IAP.

The game slows to a crawl on about the third mission. I have tried it multiple times now with different loading attempts. While playing the third(?) mission, first time with three soldiers, the game freezes. I try to pan the map and it grinds to haunt. I can see it slowing down, if that helps. Good game otherwise. I was having fun up until then.

It crashes when loading the tutorial level. Please fix

Very fun but needs to be more user friendly. Also crashes frequently which gets annoying but it is manageable.

Its a fun game but damage from grenades and weapons definitely has to be rebalanced grenades do way too much damage and weapons do way too little damage also there needs to be some improvements with the enemies turns sometimes it will stay on a enemies turn for quite a while I seriously hope this gets fixed

I love this game. It could use more weapons and maybe one or two small maps but besides that one of my favorites. If you like xcom or breach and clear youll like this.

Great turn based game; a nice change from the more standard "grid" type environments typical of this genre. Runs perfectly on iPhone, but consistently crashing on the iPad. Annoying to say the least...

Action points need to be rebalanced and the hit percentages are way off as with the cover bonuses. Grenades do to much damage. There is not enough levels and the few levels they have are boring to say the least. Lots of work needs to be done to make this game enjoyable. Not worth the 6 bucks. Maybe if they put a lot more work in.

I am unable to even start bootcamp due to crashing at the level loading screen. Help if anyone knows what to do!!!!!!!!!

This is a pretty good tactical turn based game. I like the idea of action points and the fact that there are no in app purchases is great! My only complaints are that the movement controls need to be refined a bit, like add the ability to position which way the soldier faces when moved, and maybe add just one more AP per turn.

Graphics are good, sound ok, music droning. Touch controls easy and nice. Ive noticed a few glitches, so far nothing crazy. Things I think needed and tweaked. Being able to zoom out further. Tapping on operators tab should move the camera to center on the operator. And the stabbing graphics when youre back stabbing to be changed to a grab and stab... More blood and gore for crits and explosions. Worth $5.

*Update* Crashing problems on Mini are fixed, which is great. Remaining is the imprecision of the touch interface, which can cause mission ending mistakes. Good game so far. The storyline, voice acting, etc are pretty bad, but the gameplay is very good. Some elements of the controls are clearly rough (selecting things is too hard), but in general the simplicity is good. The emphasis on tactics and skills progression over silly "gun porn" equipment upgrades is welcome. Its the best tactical game Ive played on iPad so far (XCom being too silly). Like almost all games in the Internet age, it still only seems partially through its development, so I look forward to it getting better. The single biggest element Im missing is suppression effects. When a bad guy is getting shot at by an M4 and a SAW, he shouldnt be returning effective fire unless he is a strike force commando indeed. The purpose of my SAW gunner should be to suppress bad guys and allow my other men to maneuver. The game is a neat combat simulator, but fire and maneuver are literally the foundation of modern tactics. Cues could be taken from Breach and Clear, which allows you to designate fields of fire.

Thoroughly enjoyable with campaign and single mission modes. No in app purchases shows the company respects the player and doesnt just look at him as a wallet to empty. You can get all the upgrades you need just by playing the game. The controls are easy enough but sometimes a careless gesture might send your operator in the wrong direction. Just be careful where you swipe. Some folks complain about the lack of suppression fire and I agree. A hail of bullets from an M249 should cancel any previous plans of an enemy and send him scurrying for cover. But it doesnt make the game any less enjoyable. If youre looking for a good squad tactics game this is it! Compared to Arma Tactics, Frontline Tactics was a waste of my time and money.

It crashes I miss this game

A very shallow turn based strategy. I dont know where they come up with the probability outcome in this game. At eighty percent my men fail to hit more often than not. Save your money this game is a real steamer.
